Dear Sangha Members and EHZC Community,
As you all likely know by now, our beloved Guiding Teacher, Kaku, has resigned his position with us as of March 31. To many of us this news came as a great surprise and cause for deep sadness, disappointment, and concern about the ongoing welfare of our sangha.
Under Kaku's wise and kind guidance our sangha has grown not only in participation, but also in warmth, energy, and connection. We are all deeply grateful for this gift that Kaku has given us, and we want each of you to know that we are working with Kaku to find a path forward that will support our sangha's strong practice and continued joyous evolution in Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha .
We have scheduled Monday, February 4, for the sangha community to gather together, share our thoughts, and learn of some possibilities being pursued to keep our sangha strong and vibrant. We believe it is important for us to come together as a group at this tender time. Everyone is invited to attend.
Doors will open at 7 PM, as usual; at 7:30 PM we will have one period of meditation and then discussion led by Kaku and several board members.
Meanwhile please do not hesitate to contact any board member to share your thoughts, ideas, and feelings regarding this transition.
With Deepest Gratitude,
The EHZC Board of Directors
