Dear sangha members and Community,

We do not know of any sangha members or visitors to our EHZC community who have been exposed to the coronavirus or who are ill with the virus, and we do not fall into the one mile containment radius in New Rochelle. However, out of an abundance of caution and care for the well-being of our sangha and community, we have decided to close our zendo for the next two weeks. 

We will definitely be closed from Wednesday, March 11 through Wednesday March 25. After that time we will consult the CDC guidelines and reassess the situation. We will keep everyone notified and updated by e-mail regarding our opening date after the two week closure.Please also check our website, emptyhandzen.org for updates.

Please note, we will also need to reschedule our EHZC Annual Meeting which had been scheduled for Sunday, March 22.

May we all continue our practice with vigor and compassion, and know that though we are not sitting together we are also not separate.
